About Project
Ascape is a travel platform built to bring inspiration, planning, and booking into one ecosystem. As the product evolved from a utility focused travel commerce system into a creator driven ecosystem, we worked on transforming a fragmented and e-commerce heavy journey into something more immersive, intuitive, and human centered. The goal was to support different travel mindsets, from casual exploration to intent driven trip planning, while balancing rich content with clarity, scalability, and usability.
The platform was designed to unify storytelling, trip discovery, planning, and commerce into a seamless ecosystem that feels exploratory, trustworthy, and easy to navigate.

The Challenges
The platform was going through a major transformation from a utility focused travel service model into a more experience driven ecosystem built around destination discovery, travel storytelling, and real travel experiences shared by creators. While the existing system offered multiple travel services, the overall experience felt fragmented and heavily e-commerce oriented. One of the key challenges was to create a journey that better reflected how modern travelers actually explore and plan trips, where users move between inspiration, comparison, saving, and planning before making decisions.
Along with improving usability and navigation, the platform also needed a stronger identity that could reposition it beyond a conventional booking ecosystem into a modern travel experience platform.
Design Approach
Our design process began with understanding the evolving business vision and aligning product goals with user experience needs through continuous collaboration with stakeholders. A foundational design system was established early in the process, to maintain consistency and scalability across the platform. Destination imagery and content were curated collaboratively to enhance the immersive nature of the experience, while every interface was designed component first to support modular scalability and smoother development handoff.
The workflow followed an iterative review cycle where designs were continuously refined through stakeholder feedback before being delivered to the development team, allowing the platform to evolve progressively while maintaining visual and experiential consistency throughout the ecosystem.
